I just had the strange experience of beating my 5K PR on an easy run! My PB was 46:42, but I just did a 5K run with hills included in 41:06. I kept my heart rate just under 80%, except for the odd time when I pushed it to 85% to see how it feels. Maybe it was the espresso Hammer gel that I had as a test … lol.
Maybe I’ll be able to do my race next week in under 40 minutes. That would be very cool.
